Transistor Amplifier

Question
4 out of 24

What is the effect of emitter resistance and emitter bypass capacitor in a CE amplifier? What happenes when the emitter bypass capacitor is removed from a CE amplifier?

When an emitter resistance is added in a CE amplifier, its voltage gain is reduced but the input impedance increases. When a bypass capacitor is connected in parallel with an emitter resistance, voltage gain of CE amplifier increases.
If the bypass capacitor is removed, excessive degeneration produced in the amplifier circuit and voltage gain will be reduced.
