Contracts With Minors

According to section 3 of the Indian Majority Act, 1875, a minor is a person who has not completed 18 years of his age. However in the following two cases, he is treated as minor until he attains the age of 21 years:

  • Where a guardian of a minor’s person or property is appointed under the guardians and wards Act, 1890
  • Where the superintendence of minor’s property is assumed by a court of wards.
