This refers to the economically active population and thus, includes both, the employed as well as the unemployed persons. Labour force participation rate (LFPR) refers to the number of persons in the labour force per 1,000 persons.
It refers to that part of the labour force which is employed. Work force participation rate (WPR) is defined as the number of persons/ person-days employed per 1,000 person/ person days.
It is defined as the number of persons unemployed per 1,000 persons in the labour force.
According to 66th round of NSSO during 2009-10, 341 persons were in work force, 24 were unemployed and 365 is the total labour force leading to 6.6% unemployment rate (unemployed / Labour force X 100).
