Lattice Points

For your Knowledge
One of the most familiar example of product of two sets in R × R , the set of all ordered pairs of real numbers. Geometrically, it represents the set of all points in the Cartesian plane where ordered pairs (x, y) are coordinates of some point. The product Z × Z = {(x, y) |x, y Z} represents the set of all points in the Cartesian plane that have integral coordinates. The points (x, y) such that x, y Z are called" lattice points". The Cartesian product N × N  represent the set of lattice points in the first quadrant.

Example
Represent A × B on Cartesian plane when A = {2, 3, 4} and B = {4, 5}.

Solution
Take the elements of A along x-axis and elements of B along y-axis, and then mark the ordered pairs of the set A × B = {(2, 4), (2, 5), (3, 4), (3, 5), (4, 4), (4, 5)}.
