Pictorial Representation of A x B

Let A = {1, 2, 3} and B = {a, b}
then A × B = {(1, a), (2, a), (3, a), (1, b), (2, b), (3, b)}.

The pictorial representation of A × B is shown in the figure below. We write all the elements of A on the left and all the elements of B on the right then we draw an arrow from each element of A to an element of B to show how ordered pair has been made. For instance, an arrow from 2 to a means (2, a) which is element of A × B.
