Fossil fuels like Coal, Petroleum and Natural gas are the examples of exhaustible natural resources hence their usage should be conserved . It requires several millions of years for the dead organisms to get converted into these fuels. The speed with which they are formed is much less than the speed with which they are consumed, more over the burning of these fuels cause air pollution and increase in production of carbon dioxide a green house gas. The excess consumption of fossil fuels are linked to global warming. It is therefore necessary that we use these fuels only when absolutely necessary. This will result in better environment, smaller risk of global warming and their availability for a longer period of time.
