Adjacent Angles

BOA and COB have a common arm OB and a common vertex O. The two arms OA and OC are on opposite sides of OB. BOA and COB are said to be adjacent angles.

Two angles are called adjacent angles when they have

(i) a common vertex
(ii) a common arm and
(iii) their other arms lie on opposite sides of the common arm.
