Supplementary Angles  

Two angles are said to be supplementary angles, if their sum measures 180°. Each is said to be a supplement of the other.
 

Example : Angles of 120° and 60° supplement each other.

 


If two supplementary angles are drawn as adjacent angles, they make a straight angle. This means that the two angles form a linear pair. We can therefore see that the angles of a linear pair are supplementary.
