Jessner’s Peel

Jessner’s peel is a superficial chemical peel, combination of Alpha- Beta hydroxy acids i.e Lactic acid & Salicylic acid, along with a Phenol derivative i.e Resorcinol. It can be used alone or in combination with TCA to increase the depth of the peel.

Modified Jessner’s peel eliminates Resorcinol & includes Citric acid, reducing the side effects and decreasing toxicity, while increasing its efficacy.

: These molecules act in synergy. Resorcinol is a good peeling agent resulting in renewed stratum corneum and increased density of Glycosaminoglycans. Salicylic acid is a lipophilic agent with keratolytic & anti-inflammatory properties.

It has a shelf life of 2 years. Stored in dark amber coloured bottle with a tight cap.
