A child from Bihar comes with fever. Blood examination shows sheathed microfilaria with nuclei upto tail tip. The diagnosis is: (AIPG 2011)
a. This is the characteristic feature of microfilaria of Brugia malayi.
b. The adults localise in the lymphatics and lay microfilaria which show a nocturnal periodicity, are sheathed, have a non-continuous row of nuclei in the tail-tip.
c. There are two terminal nuclei that are distinctly separated from the other nuclei in the tail.
