When cocaine is ingested, it produce euphoria, dysphagia, dry mouth, tingling and numbness, dilated pupils, rapid pulse, hyperthermia, hallucinations, Magnan's symptom, cyanosis, black tongue, nasal perforation, nymphomania, etc. Cocaine is an indirectly acting sympathomimetic drug. Therefore, the drug causes an increase in blood pressure and necrotic symptoms due to severe vasoconstriction.
