A mantoux tests is negative despite the presence of active tuberculosis in all of the following condition except

Patient on epileptic drugs
a. As a rule a positive mantoux reaction is present in a patient with tuberclous disease of some stanaing (1-3 months).
b. A negative test rules out the disease. Rarely the tuberculin test may be negative despite the presence of active disease as in severe and disseminated TB, during high fever or certain exanthemat-a after virus vaccination or steroid therapy or in an immunoincompetent state.
