a. This is the history of recurrent herpes labialis (most common cause HSV1). Primary infection cause by HSV1 include: gingivostomatitis (most common), keratitis, whitlow and encephalitis.
b. The site of latent infection is trigeminal nerve root ganglion. The most common recurrent infection caused is herpes labialis. Drug of choice for treatment is acyclovir.
