All may lead to hives and wheals except - (AIPG 2009)
i.e., Typhoid fever
a. Urticaria is also referred to as hives.
b. Wheal is the characteristic lesion of urticaria.
c. Cold, serum sickness and Viral hepatitis (HBV, HCV) can cause urticaria.
d. Typhoid does not cause urticaria .
Typical urticarial lesions (wheals)
• Rounded or oval
• Pale colour papules and plaques
• With a halo of erythma
