All of the following movements are possible due to contraction of tensor fascia lata except (AIIMS Nov 2013)
|A||Medial rotation of hip joint|
|B||Abduction of hip joint|
|C||Flexion of hip joint|
|D||Extension of hip joint|
2. It also causes flexion at hip along with ilio-psoas.
3. It can cause flexion as well as extension at knee joint, depending upon the location of the axis of the joint.
It also leads to lateral rotation & abduction of tibia at knee joint (due to its attachment on the lateral tibial condyle).
