Convulsions

a. Pain and stiffness are the commonest presenting symptoms. The patient may present with pain radiating to the shoulder or downwards on the outer aspect of the forearm and hand, there may be paresthesia in the region of nerve root.

b. Giddiness is usually because of the vertebro-basilar syndrome. Convulsions are not seen in cervical spondylitis
