Can be diagnosed by stool examination/ culture except

a. Pseudomembranous enterocolitis is caused by C. difficle. This bacterium is normally present in the gastrointestinal tract; therefore microscopic examination or culture cannot diagnose this condition.
b. Diagnosis is made by detection of toxin (A or B) in stool.
