Phlyctenular Kerato-Conjunctivitis

 

  1. Predominantly affects children.
  2. Etiology : delayed hypersensitivity reaction to (Type IV its)
    1. Staphylpcoccal protein (most common)
    2. TB proteins
  3. Clinical feature:
    1. Limbal nodule
    2. Fascicular corneal ulcer

Treatment

  1. Short course of topical steroids.
  2. Any associated staphylococcal blepharitis must be treated.
