a. McCoy cells are the most common cells used for culture of Chlamydia trachomatis.
b. Hela cells are also used.
c. These cell lines are often irradiared to decrease their metabolic activity.
d. For better isolation, the specimen is often centrifuged on to the cell line.
e. Sabouraud’s medium is used for cultivation of fungi.
f. McLeod’s medium is used for corynebacteria.
g. Campy BAP is used for campylobacter.
