Question
12 out of 31

Dose of digoxin is not decreased in:

A Hypokalemia
B Hepatic failure

C Renal failure
D Geriatric patients

Ans. B Hepatic failure

Digoxin is not metabolized by liver and is excreted by kidney in urine. Hence its dose is not reduced in hepatic failure but dose should be reduced in renal failure and in geriatric patients, Hypokalemia, hypercalcemia, quinidine and verapamil increase the toxicity of digitalis so its dose should be reduced.
