Dyskeratosis is abnormal keratinization occuringprematurely within individual cells or groups of cells below the stratum granulosum (normally intracellular keratin is accumulated in keratinocytes in stratum granulosum layer).

Diseases causing dyskeratosis ;-

a. Benign àDarrier's disease, Hailey - Hailey disease (chronic benign pemphigus).

b. Malignant à Bowen's disease, Squamous cell carcinoma, Paget's disease.
