a. Endometrial hyperplasia is common in carcinoma endometrium

Treatment - simple endometrial hyperplasia calls for cyclic progestin therapy (medroxyprogesterone or norethindrone)

b. If endometrial hyperplasia with atypical cells or carcinoma of the endometrium is found, hysterectomy is necessary
