Enzymes levels which are decreased during starvation PGI
|A||Fatty acid synthase|
Ans. C Acetoacetic acid
- Initial Lab. Findings in Diabetic keto acidosis: →Aceto-acetate - 4.8 mmol/L
- β-hydroxybutyrate→ 13.7 mmol/L
- The metabolic acidosis and anion gap are almost totally accounted for by the elevated levels of Aceto-acetate and –hydroxy-butyrate. In DKA, the Ketone body. -hydroxy-butyrate, is synthesized at a three fold greater rate than acetoacetate.
