Epidemiology can be defined as the study of ?
|A||The etiology of disease in humans|
|B||The frequency of causes of the death in human|
|C||The determinants of the frequency of disease in human|
|D||The distribution and determinants of frequency of disease in humans|
The word epidemiology comes from the Greek words epi (upon) and demos (people). In fact, there is a separate word for the study of determinants of disease in animals—epizootiology. Epidemiology is the study of both the distribution of diseases in human populations and the determinants of the observed distribution. It began as study of infectious diseases but has expanded to include the study of chronic diseases, organization of health care, delivery of health care, and occupation and environmental health.
