a. NSAIDS are effective for treatment of pain which arises due to sensitization of pain receptors caused by inflammation. They are effective in pain of arthritis, menstruation, migraine and many other inflammatory disorders.

b. Analgesic nephropathy can be seen, which is associated with a progressive renal failure, decreased concentrating ability of tubules and sterile pyuria.

c. NSAIDS can decrease efficacy of antihypertensives and diuretics. Loss of Pg induced Cl loss and vasopressin inhibition leads to retention of salt and water.

d. Some NSAIDS like ketorolac are available in topical preparation of topical gel and opthalmic solutions.
