1. Krukenberg tumor is a malignant tumor of the ovary, usually bilateral and frequently secondary to malignancy of; the gastrointestinal tract (stomach 70%, large bowel 15%, and breast 6%).
2. Histologically, they consist of myxomatous connective tissue and cells having a signet ring arrangement of their nuclei.
3. The epithelial tissue resembles malignancy of the original site. Tumor retains the shape of the normal ovary and has a peculiar solid waxy consistence, although cystic spaces due to degeneration of growth are common.
