(Rule of Hasse (1895- a rough method of calculating the age of the fetus by measuring the crown to heel length of the fetus in cms. During the first 5 mths of pregnancy, square root of length is equal to the fetal age in months and during the last 5 mths the length divided by 5 gives the age in months.
a. ≤ 5 mths àsq. root of n = fetal age.
b. ≥ 5 mths à n/5 = fetal age.)
