In lepromin test, Mitsuda reaction is read after:
Lepromin is a suspension of killed M. leprae. It is prepared from heavily infected human or armadillo tissue. Its Intradermal injection elicits, a tuberculin-like reaction at 48 hours, known as the Fernandez reaction and a papular reaction at 3 to 4 weeks, known as the Mitsuda Reaction. The Mitsuda reaction is positive in tuberculoid patients and is always negative in lepromatous patients.
