1. Pars planitis is a chronic form of cyclitis Q seen in children and young adults.

2. In 80% of cases it affects both eyes.

3. Main presenting symptom is floaters Qbefore the eyes. Eye is usually quiet with mild flare and a few small KPs.

4. Anterior vitreous contains numerous cells and indirect ophthalmoscopy reveals snowball or cotton ball like Q white exudates near the ora serrata.

5. These exudates coalesce to form a white plaque “snow banking effect”.

6. Vision is primarily reduced due to macular edema

7. self-limiting disease Q

8. Good prognosis in majority of cases.
