Bacillus anthracis causes anthrax and disease may be seen in three forms:
a. Cutaneous b. Pulmonary c. Intestinal
Cutaneous is the most common form (malignant pustule, Hide porter’s disease)
A painless congested edematous ulcer area with central necrosis and surrounding black eschar and satellite lesions is called “malignant pustule”.
