Postmenopausal Bleeding Pv

  2. Histopathological diagnosis should always be made first.
  3. Fractional curettage (to rule out Ca cervix and Ca endometrium) is the investigation of choice.
  4. There is no role for hormonal manipulation to control postmenopausal bleeding.

In postmenopausal women (even if she is on hormone replacement therapy or HRT) the endometrial thickness (ET) should be less than 4 mm. If the ET is more than 4 mm, it requires further evaluation (histology), even if the patient is asymptomatic.
