• A hernia through the foramen of Morgagni occurs between the xiphoid and costal margins. They account for 2-4% of all diaphragmatic herniae.
• On chest x-ray, a Morgagni's hernia appears in the anterior mediastinum
• Bochdalek’s hernia is posterolateral and is usually on the left.
