d. Amiodarone (may also be subacute or chronic)

2). Subacute

a. Viral (or granulomatous) thyroiditis

b. Silent thyroiditis (including postpartum thyroiditis)

c. Mycobacterial infection

3). Chronic

a. Autoimmunity: focal thyroiditis, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, atrophic thyroiditis
