Ocular paralysis is most common during the 5th week and may cause blurring of vision, difficulty in accommodation and internal strabismus. In DIPHTHERIA isolated ocular muscle paralysis are common but external ophthalmoplegia is rare. Pupil is often not involved and ciliary muscles are never involved.
