Enlargement of uterus
a. Pseudocyesis or phantom pregnancy or pseudopregnancy is a condition in which a patient has nearly all of the usual signs and symptoms of pregnancy (such as enlargement of the abdomen, weight gain, cessation of menses, and morning sickness) but is not pregnant.
b. This condition is usually seen in women who either are very desirous of having children or wishes to avoid pregnancy.
c. Treatment usually is done by psychiatric means.
