Not a side effect of oral contraceptives:
a. Adverse effects of oral contraceptive pills include nausea, breast pain and tenderness, weight gain, breakthrough bleeding, amenorrhea, headaches, depression, anxiety, and decreased libido.
b. OCs do not provide protection from STDs.
c. A few months of delay of normal ovulatory cycles after discontinuation of OCs may occur. Women taking oral contraceptive pills may also develop chloasma, which is augmented by exposure to the sun.
