a. It is a controversial question having two answers, which are as follows.

b. As per all orthopedics books treatment of chronic backache includes NSAID, exercise and in some cases we can use Epidural steroid injection.

c. Bed rest is advice in acute cases of low backache (nontraumatic) only for short period of 2 to3 days only not for 3 months because if patient is given bed rest for 3 months it will simply increase more degenerative changes in the spine.
