It is a systemic vasculitis manifested by transmural necrotizing of small or medium sized muscular arteries.
Renal artery is most commonly involved whereas Pulmonary circulation is spared.
Most common manifestations are malaise, fever of unknown cause, weight loss, hypertension (rapidly developing), abdominal pain, melena, diffuse muscular pains, and peripheral neutitis (predominantly motor)
