Gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD)
a. Incidence is higher in teenagers, elderly women age> 35 years
b. Faulty diet having high carbohydrate, low protein and deficient in folic acid and other vitamins
c. Higher association with blood group AB individuals who have no anti A and anti B antibodies
d. Disturbed immune mechanism
e. Monitoring of hCG levels is also necessary for diagnosis treatment and follow up.
f. Number of living children has no relationship with GTD.
