a. Risk of rupture in LSCS is 0.2 -1.5%. The risk of rupture in classical caesarean is 4-9%.The risk of rupture when a trial of labour is given in Previous LSCS is 1 in 1000.

b. The low rate of rupture of lower segment is because of better healing that occurs as the lower segment is quiescent in puerperium and allows the scar to heal well.
