1). Colesevelam (Ref. Hari -18th ed. Pg-2996,2998, table 344.11)

a. It is a bile acid sequestrant

b. It bind bile acids but mechanism of glucose lowering not known.

c. Side Effect: Constipation, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, nausea, tri-glycerides, intestinal obstruction

2). Renal glucose transporter inhibitors (Sodium Glucose-2 inhibitors). Following drugs are not given in Harrison 18th ed. also!!!)

a. Phlorozin

b. Dapagliflozin

c. Sergliflozin

d. Remogliflozin

3). Resveratrol

A natural compound found in grape skin that mimics some of the effects of dietary restriction, increases longevity and improves health

4). Anorexic drug, 5HT2C agonist

Extra Edge: Insulin

A Hypokalemia as insulin causes entry of potassium into the cell so it can cause hypokalemia. Due to this reason insulin with dextrose is used in the treatment of hyperkalemia.
