Ans. B Emergency contraception
- The Yuzpe is a method of emergency contraception that involves administering two doses of an estrogen-progestin oral contraceptive.
- One dose is taken as soon as possible after intercourse, but certainly within 72 h, and second dose is taken 12 h later. Treatment should be started as soon as possible to ensure, best chances of success.
- There’s a high incidence of nausea and vomiting associated with the drugs, so we usually premedicate the patient with a suitable antiemetic before giving the drugs.
