Toxin involved in the streptococcal toxic shock syndrome is: (AIIMS May 2010)
a. Streptococcal pyrogenic exotoxins also called as Dick toxin, erythrogenic toxin and scarlatinal toxin are involved in the causation of streptococcal toxic shock syndrome.
b. It is of 3 types – A, B, & C. A & C are phagemediated and B is chromosomally mediated.
