Slipped capital femoral epiphysis
a. Trethowan's sign is normally used for diagnosis of a slip in slipped capital femoral epiphysis.
b. Normally on AP view of hip a line drawn along the superior surface of the neck of the femur passes through a third of the head whereas in a slipped epiphysis the line passes superior to the head.
