2. Contraindication

a. Premature babies -less than 36 weeks of gestational maturity

b. Major degrees of CPD

c. Soft tissue obstruction in the pelvis

d. Breech and face presentation

e. High station of the head i.e, above station zero

f. Macrosomia

g. Suspected fetal coagulopathy

h. Scalp electrode has been used or fetal scalp blood sampling performed

i. Intrauterine fetal death

j. Lack of expertise in the procedure
