a. This is an antibiotic group (BG Katzung, Basic and Clinical Pharmacology; 10th Edition’ 2007, pp-733-38).
b. Cephalosporins are beta-lactam antibiotics and produce hypersensitivity, thrombocytopenia and disulfiram like side effects.
c. Neutropenia can occur with ceftazidime but bone none of the cephalosporins have immunosuppressive properties.
