# Electric Boundary Conditions

If an electric field exists in a region consisting of two different media then the conditions that the field must satisfy at the interface between the two media are called boundary conditions.

We consider three different interfaces:
1. Dielectricâ€“dielectric boundary
2. Conductorâ€“dielectric boundary
3. Conductorâ€“free space boundary
To determine the conditions, we use Maxwellâ€™s and Gaussâ€™ laws,
