Electric Boundary Conditions

If an electric field exists in a region consisting of two different media then the conditions that the field must satisfy at the interface between the two media are called boundary conditions.
We consider three different interfaces:
  1. Dielectric–dielectric boundary
  2. Conductor–dielectric boundary
  3. Conductor–free space boundary
