Field Effect Transistor (FET)
Field effect transistor is a voltage controlled device in which output characteristics are controlled by the input voltage.
- Junction Field Effect Transistor - JFET: A junction field effect transistor is a three terminal device in which conduction takes place only through one type of carrier i.e. either through holes or through electrons.
Where, ID = Drain Current
IDSS = Shorted-gate drain current
VGS = Gate source voltage
VP = Pinch-off Voltage
- MOSFET: Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor.
