Quadratic Equations

Question
10 out of 10

In the following questions two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and give answer

I. 2x + 3y = 4 II. 3x + 2y = 11

A If x > y

B If x ≥ y

C If x < y

D If x ≤ y

E If x = y or the relationship cannot be established

Ans. A Multiply by 2 in equation (1) and 3 in equation( 2) we get

4x + 6y = 8

9x + 6y = 33

Now substracting we get

5x = 25

X = 5, y= -2

So x > y
