Intersection of a Line and a Circle

Any line intersects the circle if the distance of the center of the circle from the line is less than the radius of the circle.
 
If the distance of the line from the center of the circle is radius then line touches the circle.
 
If distance of the center or the circle from the line is more than the radius of the circle then the line neither touches nor intersects the circle.
